Ford and Motors Coalville – historic partners

Ford Motor Company is an American institution that was founded by Henry Ford in 1903. Motors of Coalville is proud to represent Ford in Leicestershire, something we have done for more than 100 years.

A Ford car is easily identifiable, not least because of the famous blue oval emblem that adorns it – a design classic that has essentially remained the same for more than a century.

Ford has come some way since the introduction of its first mass-produced automobile, the Model T. Over the years, Ford has manufactured a number of automotive classics, some of which haven’t been readily available this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Nevertheless, names such as the Thunderbird and the Lincoln Continental are familiar to us from their exposure via movie and TV screens, for instance.

In the UK, Ford models like the Capri and Cortina evoke misty-eyed memories for many. In their day, they were enormously popular cars, and featured regularly on TV series such as The Sweeney and The Professionals. Motors Coalville was here at the peak of the demand for these vehicles, and others like them, including the Anglia and Escort.

Today, Ford is a company that is in remarkably robust shape. One could argue that the brand is currently enjoying an all-time-high, particularly since Ford’s new car range is extensive, providing something for every type of motorist.

There are so many great Ford cars to choose from at Motors of Coalville, including the UK’s biggest-selling car: the Fiesta. This much-loved supermini has been going strong since 1976 – and now, in its seventh generation, it’s the best it’s ever been.

Like we said, we’re proud of our association with such an iconic brand, and we take pride in what we have achieved over the years. We’re a family-owned business, and we look forward to continuing to provide used vehicles, a wide range of services and first-class customer care.
