Loughborough Car Show
After two years away, the Loughborough Car Show will be returning in June 2022. Originally scheduled for 21 June this year, the organisers, Love Loughborough Business Improvement District and Charnwood Cruisers Custom Car Club, took a joint decision to postpone for another year in light of the government’s guidelines.
A spokesperson for Charnwood Cruisers said, “Due to the on-going Covid situation we thought it would not be wise to go ahead, as having circa 20,000 people in close proximity would not be prudent.
"We would like to thank exhibitors, marshals, businesses and the general public for their support over the years."
The show usually takes place on Father’s Day, and is a hugely popular event, with people attending from across the UK. Loughborough Market Place and the town centre become home to classic cars, hot rods, choppers and more for one day, with owners and enthusiasts able to enjoy a lively atmosphere and share knowledge, stories and tips.
The event usually opens at 10am until 4pm, and is free to enter. Alongside the hundreds of cars, visitors can enjoy refreshments and listen to live music. It is very much hoped by both organisers and regular attendees that the Loughborough Car Show will return in June 2022.
